MQR 56:4 | Fall 2017

In our Fall 2017 issue, Margaret Morganroth Gullette examines farm fiction amid the global food crisis, and Corey Van Landingham reflects on the complicated nature of Confederate elegy: “The standing Confederate monuments speak to a sanitized history—garland-heaped, bourbon-smoothed—in order to make a shameful past more palatable. Their destruction, however, displays something similar: sloughing off an objectionable record.”

Fiction by Taylor Adams, Jenny Irish, Anna Sabat, Sara Schaff, J. Howard Siegal, Rebecca Townley, and Marléne Zadig.

Poetry by Becca Barniskis, V.V. Ganeshananthan, Gabriela Garcia, Shen Haobo (translated by Liang Yujing), Stevie Howell, Ann Lauinger, Madison Jones, Jen Karetnick, Mike Soto, Terrell Jamal Terry, and G.C. Waldrep.
